Yi-Gang Xu graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Geochemistry from Zhejiang University in 1987, Ph.D. in Geochemistry from University of Paris 7 in 1994. After the Postdoctoral Research at the Royal Holloway University of London, he joined GIGCAS in 1996 and is now professor and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Isotope Geochemistry. Prof. Xu has published over 300 scientific papers, with Google Scholar H-Index 79. He was ranked in World’s Top 2% Scientists 2020 and Top 200 Chinese Scientists (Mendeley Data). Yigang is a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2017), Fellow of the Geological Society of America (2018) and Fellow of American Geophysical Union (2021). He currently serves as Associate Editors/editorial member for Terra Nova, Frontier in Earth Sciences and Global and Planetary Changes.
