In 2008 GIGCAS initiated international cooperative research projects as follows: (1) International cooperative partner program for innovation team “Tectonomagmatism and mineralization system”; (2) Sino-Finland cooperative program “Study of copper-bearing Emeishan basalt”; (3) IAEA training program; (4) Sino-Australian cooperative program “Pollution risk assessment of water body ecological system”; (5) Sino-Russian cooperative program “Long-distance migration and regional circulation of persistent organic pollutants”; (6) GIGCAS-Hong Kong Polytechnic University cooperative program “Volatile organic pollutants in South Subtropical zone in China: Origin and impact on air quality”; (7) GIGCAS-Hong Kong EPA cooperative program “Volatile organic pollutants and their photochemistry in the Pearl River Delta region”; (8) GIGCAS-Hong Kong University cooperative program “Petrological and geochemical study of the Proterozoic orogeny in South China”; (9) GIGCAS-Hong Kong University cooperative program “Reconstruction of climatic and environmental records of reef-making coral in South China Sea”; (10) Sino-UK cooperative program “Sea-land transition in the north margin of South China Sea: constraints of clastic sediments in the basin and the exhumation of rock bodies in the adjacent regions”. |
