Call for Papers: JRE
The Journal of Resources and Environment (JRE) is an open-access English-language academic journal sponsored by the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and published on the SciEngine platform. Focusing on the sustainable development of resources, energy, and the ecological environment, the journal is dedicated to promoting interdisciplinary integration and technological innovation, giving priority to research that is original, forward-looking, and practice-oriented. JRE centers on two core themes "Deep Earth Processes and Critical Mineral Resources" and "Regional Environment and Pollution Control." It aims to establish an internationally influential platform for scholars worldwide to exchange their research findings in resources, energy, the environment, and their synergies. The journal will be officially launched at the end of 2026 and is now soliciting manuscripts from researchers both in China and abroad.
The journal focuses on fundamental research, technological innovation, and interdisciplinary integration in the fields of resources, energy, and the environment, covering but not limited to the following areas:
1. Deep Earth Processes and Critical Mineral Resources: material cycling and process mechanisms in the deep Earth, metallogenesis and metallogenic regularities, formation, exploration, and evaluation of strategic mineral resources, deep Earth exploration and experimental simulation, etc.;
2.
Regional Environment and Pollution Control: regional environmental processes and environmental evolution; the source–transport–transformation–fate of environmental pollutants; pollution control and ecological restoration technologies; environmental monitoring and risk assessment, etc.;
3. Coordinated development of resources, energy, and the environment: interdisciplinary fields such as the clean utilization of resources and energy, carbon neutrality and green development, and the coupling of surface processes with human–environment systems.
1. Research Articles: Systematic research findings that are original and innovative, addressing scientific questions in the fields of resources, energy, and the environment;
2. Review Articles: A systematic retrospective and prospective outlook on research progress in the relevant field;
3. Methods and Techniques: research, development, and application of new methods, technologies, and equipment in the field of resources and environment;
4. Letters & Perspectives: Short papers reporting significant interim findings or presenting insightful academic viewpoints.
1. Originality: The submitted manuscript must represent original research by the author team that has not been formally published, and must be free from academic misconduct such as plagiarism, appropriation of others' work, or simultaneous submission to multiple journals.
2.
Scientific rigor: The study design is rigorous, the data are detailed and reliable, the methods are fully described, the conclusions are well supported by evidence, and the research is reproducible;
3.
Academic value: Manuscripts should demonstrate outstanding scientific importance or practical value, and provide support for scientific research, policy formulation, or engineering practice in the field of resources and environment;
4.
Standardization: Submissions must comply with academic writing standards, with accurate citation formatting, clear figures and tables, and standardized use of units and terminology;
5. Language: Manuscripts must be written in English, with accurate and fluent expression that meets the publication requirements of international academic journals.
Please submit your manuscripts online via the journal's official submission and peer review system: https://www.scicloudcenter.com/JRE/login/index
