Vice Chancellor of Lancaster University held a talk with GIGCAS TEXT SIZE: A A A

On his visit to the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry (GIGCAS), Mark Smith, the Vice Chancellor of Lancaster University, had a talk with XU Yigang and ZHANG Gan, the director and deputy director of GIGCAS.


The dialogue centered on three programmes: the International Research and Innovation Centre for the Environment (I-RICE), the Lancaster China Catalyst Programme (LCCP) and the collaboration between Lancaster University and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. To be specific, the two parties schemed out matters such as the I-RICE timetable, their joint doctor education plan, the LCCP within the I-RICE framework and possible future progress on the LU- GDUFS cooperation. And after the talk, they visited the future I-RICE offices on GIGCAS campus, which is expected to come into use this July.
