Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection and Resources Utilization
The Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection and Resources Utilization (LEPRU) is the first provincial key laboratory co-established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Guangdong province. Founded in 1993 and hosted by GIGCAS, LEPRU is now recognized as one of China’s most influential laboratories in environmental organic pollution research.
Focusing on environmental science and resource utilization, LEPRU is committed to addressing Guangdong's demand for socio-economic development and environmental technology. Some of the laboratory’s research directions are: atmospheric environmental quality in urban clusters; environmental geochemical behavior and health effects of emerging organic pollutants; and pollution control technologies and comprehensive resource utilization.
