Resume:

Meng Chen was born in 1987. He graduated from School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Nanjing University, in 2010, and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2015 from the same university. He became a research associate of Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2015. Now he is an associate professor. His research interest is computational simulation studies of structural and physical properties of mineral/water interfaces. Recently he has disclosed the partition of water and ions in the crystalline boundary or the interlayer of phyllosilicate minerals, which has an influence on the water and ionic cycling in Earth. He has published 11 papers as a first or corresponding author on journals like Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, Physical Review B, Inorganic Chemistry, The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Langmuir and so on.
