Research

My research is conducted at environmental geochemistry and biogeochemistry of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). I am particularly interested in the understanding of environmental problems of potentially toxic environmental pollutants. Current researches include environmental behavior and fate of halogenated flame retardants in and around the hot-spot sites such as e-waste recycling and electronic manufacturing regions, as well as its effect on the ecosystem; the analysis of emerging environmental contaminants; the biogeochemical processes of POPs in the coastal region in the Pearl River Delta.
