September 26 morning, the Guangdong provincial party committee and government at the grand opening of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province Science and Technology, summed up the province's science and technology in recent years and deployed the innovative construction work in Guangdong. Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Wang Yang, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Ministry of Science and Technology Minister Wan Gang, Vice Minister of Education Li Weihong, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech. The Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Provincial Governor Huang Longyun read "issued on 2007 in Guangdong Province Science and Technology Award for his briefing."
The meeting awarded the 2007 annual meeting of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, a total of 289 award-winning project, in which a top award, the first prize of 27, 83 and the second prize, third prize 178. GIG’s researcher Zhou and others at the completion of the "atmospheric pressure matrix-assisted laser plasma source to develop high-resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometer," researcher Hong-Ping and others to complete the "layered silicate, and other forms of non-metallic minerals - Physical and Chemical Research Interface," won the Guangdong Province, the first prize of science and technology.
